Working With Women
I hate working with women. There should be a limit 1 per office.
When you get more than one you get cat fighting bitching, whining, criticism. I've got 3 against 1 with 1 abstaining. It's been reduced to the mental anxiety of "she doesn't like me"
I wish I could say "Get over it! I've had to work for years with people who don't like me." but that could be perceived as condoning "harassment". The stupid thing is nothing has been done more than "she doesn't like me."

Sometime during my military career they let women become airplane mechanics. I worked with 4 different women and out of the 4 i would pick 3 to hire for my company if i owned one.
There was 2 things on a T-38 that a woman can not do. They can not tighten the boatail to 750 feet pounds. We had some guys that could not do that so thats even.
Another thing girls could not do was put in the gearbox. The plane had 2 one for each engine. It weighed about 90 to 110 pounds and had to go in level.
The way it was made you could not pick it up by yourself and i never saw a girl be able to pick up her half. Sitting on your knees and tring to get it in place was tough.
However when i was leed electrician i tried to talk my boss into hiring a lady for the job. She had more qualifications than any man did but he was worried about the environment.0 -
Your history may be a bit off. Women were 'airplane mechanics' during WW2 (if not before).
Given a long enough 'lever', a mere child can tighten a fastener to 750 foot pounds (or more).

When women first came to patrol, they were hand picked to succeed. They worked out very well. When the 2nd and 3rd wave hit the streets it was a different situation. But they all succeeded, not because they all were good, but because the brass said so. I would go to calls without cover, just to avoid being around the bad ones.

I removed a 4 speed manual transmission from a truck with my arms in about 5 minutes after everything was disconnected.
A woman removed the same transmission from a similar truck in about 20 minutes. She used a transmission jack.0 -

When working with women I have found that some exceed and some fail and fail badly. Men usually work out better but most do not meet the standards that the exceeding women set. 0 -

The women in our dept might have been good, if they weren't always conning the other guys into doing their work. It was so pathetic what these airmen would do to try and win her favor. This went all the way up the chain, she was "untouchable".
As far as hiring in the private sector, depends on the type of company. If it is a male dominated physical job, I would never hire a woman or black. Office help, sure, but not to work among the men.
When you have a team of men, you cannot throw a breeding age woman in the mix, or a controversial player either. Too many good teams have been ruined by those experiments, and in my company, I'm not willing to do so.
It was funny in my business class when I made that proclamation. You could see the steam coming off the women's and minorities heads.
The problem is, if you don't hire them, just don't tell them why. Use a standard "not a fit" type of reason.
When I went to get a new banker, same crap happened. Had an appointment with a "female" banker for the business, and when I got there she wasn't there. Had to see the doctor for a trimester checkup?
wth, this is my business and I need a working relationship with my banker, and need to be able to trust they will be there.
This equal, but not equal crap is just that, crap. There are plenty of places where women shine, where men will never be able to compete. This reality eludes the liberal haters.0 -
Funny how when there is a bad guy resisting arrest it's ALWAYS the male cop wrestling him to the ground and cuffing him and the female cop watching or on the radio. Never saw it the other way around. 0 -
I have no idea how long women were airplane mechanics. I know i was in 2 to 4 years before i saw one.
Also there were not any in my schools where i went to learn how to be a airplane mechanic.0
