Four cars in a line....I'm car #2...#4 is a GOOBER
I swear....its one of the most frustrating things to be stuck in a line of traffic as the REAR car in the line of traffic comes up and passes. If you get in a line of 10 cars and things slow down just a bit it never fails that car #10 will pull out, then #9, #8, and so on.....
I had "enough" of it one day and pulled out when this goober decided to gun it and come around traffic. He got the special wave and got to see my break lights for a bit too.....I'm sure he appreciated it a lot from the dance he did in the driver's seat of his car.
I'm all for everyone going however fast they are able to do....but these goobers that take the first opportunity to gun it from the rear of the line need to get a special wave.

I went to town today and had to honk my horn 3 times at stoplights to get texting idiots to go.
They get a 4 count then they get the horn.
What are they doing texting at a red light? Updateing their FB? I don't get it.
BTW I did not take my phone with me. I would bet I was the only person over 10 who did not have a cell phone on them with in 50 miles of where I was at anytime[:0]

I have made a habit of moving into the path of these folks when a road narrows from two lanes to one lane.
I will typically drive side by side with another driver (pick an 18 wheeler when possible) and hold the same speed until approaching where the lanes converge. The speed of traffic in the lane that doesn't end picks up significantly, and those that try to zip around the traffic no longer have that option.
Get a lot of horns and angry folks behind me at times, but have always been let in by the car to my side with a big smile and a friendly wave.0 -
There is this annoying spot where 459 ends and it merges onto 59.....two lanes splitting off in two directions onto 59. If you go to the right the lanes stay 2 lanes for a bit....merging into another 2 lanes....where it is a 4 lane road for 1/4 mile or so....then the right two lanes come to an end.
The traffic on 59 isn't ever bad.....so the problem is ALWAYS the merging morons. They can't seem to get to this part of the road and just stay where they are. They come zipping around from all sides trying to get ahead of as many people as they can.
It makes for a mess where the actual merging is.....because people who aren't a-holes have to deal with these morons that have decided their position in the moving line isn't what they deserve. EVEN THOUGH when all the merging ends and the 4 lane becomes another 2 lane highway and we are all on 59 together....we will all be boxed in and going the same dang speed. (Nobody "wins" here....but they don't get that.)0 -
