Years ago when I had my Tree Trimming business, I was trimming up a 50ft. Palm tree and heard what sounded like someone having a heart attack! I looked down and saw a huge Lion staring up at me on the other side of the wall! After I calmed down I noticed that there were three other Lions in the yard staring at me too.
They were in Siegfried and Roy's back yard. I wish the home owner would have given me a heads up before I started![:0]0 -

I have found the best way to repel cougars is not to brush my teeth, along with skipping the anti perspirant deodorant in the mornings I go into town. [:0][:D] 0 -

It's a good thing that she thought she could communicate with the cat telepathically. Had she not, and freaked out the cat probably would have took it as an act of aggression and attacked her...
because she thought she was in an "enlightened state"([:o)]) it probably saved her life. But that's still does not preclude the fact that she's nutcase for thinking that she could communicate with it telepathically.
I hate to break it to her, but the cat was just looking for a way to get out anyway. It had nothing to do with her telling it to leave telepathically or otherwise0 -
Before crashing on her couch, I would bet that big cat did some damage somewhere in her home! 0 -
In related news, telepathy isn't working in the home owners attempt to find her missing cat and dog. There's just 2 red stains by the pillows they usually lay on. 0 -

Possibly someone's pet or a "rescue" animal. A wild cat would not normally sleep in a person's home. The house may look like "nature" but the cat did smell humans. 0 -

Wow I guess when I say this I should have read the story.
But we have had a Cougar in Springfield making the news. This one was right in the middle of town.
But he did not make it.

Some neighbors are upset the animal wasn't tranquilized and relocated, but Christopher Yee, a wildlife biologist with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, said that wasn't an option.
Yee said cougars are extremely territorial, making them hard to put back into the wilderness. On top of that, Yee said tranquilizers can take minutes to take effect and sometimes not work at all. Yee also said a drugged animal can be even more dangerous.
"It doesn't have it's entire faculties about it, and it may run into a group of people that are standing there watching this unfold, not realizing until it's right next to an individual and lash out and defend itself," Yee said.
Yee said he believes the cougar was a juvenile male that just started to fend for itself and that the animal was lost and suffering from malnutrition. Yee added that the animal was 10 to 15 pounds underweight.0 -

I'm kind of surprised that this is just now happening. When they changed the hunting rules about 10 years ago I knew the Population would increase and cat would have to go to new territory to survive. 0 -
