gutter guard recommendation
Any of these "really" work? We have the larger gutter system and lots of Oaks on the property. Thanks

Yep, I had same problem with oaks and pines, made my own guards couple years ago and they work great.
My gutters are the larger 5-6 inch and I made some easy to install guards from 1/4 inch mesh hardware cloth (galvanized wire and it bows up in the middle when installed. Cut it little wider than the width of the gutters and installed. Not hardly even visible from the ground.0 -
I have hydrostatic pressure and gutter cleaning is a must.
I have made a few of these 10 to 15 ft poles that i can hook up a blower to and watch it work on a video camera on top of the pole.
When i loan them out they never come back and one day Mother Nature caught me with my pants down.
I?m in the process of doing my basement now and have 2% of the rug up.
So far I see no cracks but it looks like a road map full of veins
I had rug mines under the wall to wall rug which i will not replace
I have 250 lb anvil floor lamps an a gun safe with cylinder blocks in it just to name a few things to move.
Since no one is allowed in the house this job may never be completed in my life
At my rate I figure i should be done in 10 years.

Got mine at sameDepot. Lots of ladder time installing them but they do work. You will need to plug the ends as sparrows will go in and run the gutters to drive you crazy. Also, if the shingles have nails near the bottom holding the starters, you will have to trim the guard for them. 0 -
I have lots of trees around my house and tried a couple others before, but put this in and I believe it will do me. Cry once and do it right the first time as I put a metal roof on at the same time. Don't waste your money on plastic.

I guess I don't understand the concept? Wouldn't any of these "gutter cap" solutions still need to be cleaned of Oak seeds etc, as would the gutter if nothing was placed on top? I have one section that when it overflows I get water in the basement. It's located in a really tough place to get a ladder into! Almost impossible to get at it from the roof also! 0 -
