To Get National Concealed Carry Reciprocity

House of Representative bill 38 that passed last December is about ready to sunset. What it doess is force all states to recognize other states CCW permits. If it's sunsets, I doubt there will be any time in the near future for it to come up again.

    I'm not sure it is a good thing to give the Feds the power to regulate concealed carry. I self regulate, I just stay out of anti-gun states. Focus on spending your money in places that encourage liberty.

    Is it that having one gives implied consent for an officer of the law to stop you for anything he sees that is out of the ordinary?

    That you have given pre-approval to be stopped and inspected even if there is nothing out of the ordinary as is done in sobriety check points?

    Bingo...details, which the gun grabbers will undoubtly use that new Federal regulation power to impose onerous training requirements, taxes and fees, carry insurance and handgun registration inorder to meet standards for concealed carry authorization.


    States rights folks should be terrified of this idea...I have no desire to trade the liberty I have where I live, just a carry a gun in a leftist state such as NY, NJ or CA that I refuse to visit.

    In one sense, you are correct. The details are that originally we had no need for any license ala Amendment 2, and then this legislation would open it up so that the FEDERAL government can now dictate who gets a license, when, and for what reason. Say a big NO THANK YOU to this idiocy, because we ALREADY HAVE national reciprocity. It's called 2A.
