I hear Walmart is closing 269 stores in 2019, putting 14 cashiers out of work.

We went to Walmart today. They just opened 4 more self checkout lanes, replacing 4 cashier stations.
How's that demand $15 working out for you now...0 -
i go thru checkout with a clerk and have all the items sorted and bar code up.....and it's 20 ft away from the hawk watching the clerk check me OUT and then i push the cart 20" and have the hawk root thru it and try to decipher the reciept....at least it is NOT my fault if something is WRONG..RUN FOR THE PICKUP !!!!!! 0 -
At my local with all the lanes I had never seen all of them manned. So I doubt this makes any difference. 0 -
Chevy has boldly been running "employee discount commercials" where they are apparently using real employees. And I'm left wondering if those folks even still have a job. 0
