Little burg that I now call home is having a River Rat Race this weekend. A few friends, my daughter and I will be kayaking it. Last weekend highs in the upper 80's. The day of the race, high 59, lows middle 40's. Gonna try to keep dry. Taking along a dram of Crown Bourbon Mash to keep the chill off. [:D]

  You could "river rat(?)" the he!! out of things in north MO but you'd likely end up cold, wet, and maybe DEAD.
  The first flooding in over 2 years and it's of monster proportions. I think 1/2 the county roads and several major paved roads are/were closed.
  Yesterday, I drove for hours trying to reach places that are only 1" away on a road map.
