    THIS IS A STAINLESS STEEL BARREL AND IS MARKED AS SUCH. These were made from 1962 until 1970 only.

    No doubt from me.
    We have a few year old Rem 700 XCR II with the deep dark black Tri-nyte finish,on a,,,,,,Stainless barrel.

    Can't judge a barrel by it's color,,[;)][;)]

    Yep, I have a 264 Win magnum that looks exactly like that one except for the caliber markings.

    Very accurate gun.

    The blued barrels will sometimes have few freckles. (actually called freckling)
