Which would you take - Winchester

Three pre-64 Model 70's, all in the exact same condition: one .243, one .270, and one .30-06. Which would you take?

    If I was collecting them i would take them all. Probably the .243 if I could only have one.

    That all depends on the serial number... I would take the one that's worth the most money. But why not just take all three?

    IIRC they would all have the same action length.

    The .270, fact is I search for just that and bough one a few years ago.

    The point is Winchester didn't offer a short action on pre 64 70's, so the .243 Winchester uses the same long action as the .270 and .30-06.

    Got the.243 today...the .270 is on hold till Monday. Thanks for all the input. Both are 95%+ with vintage 3x9 Leupold.

    I was unaware of that, Bearman. Thanks for the info.

    The point is Winchester didn't offer a short action on pre 64 70's, so the .243 Winchester uses the same long action as the .270 and .30-06.

    I'm sure not an expert. I seem to remember reading the old model 70's all had the same action length regardless of cartridge chamber. Seems it was a draw back for some. I'm not claiming that is fact, just what I thought was correct.
