    My guess is he probably needed the soap and possibly had several people mention it to him of late, just a guess though.

    as a young kid I had a cousin stay the summer with us I thing we were about 8 or 10 ..
    we were just a few months apart in age ) this was early 1960's on the way back to Tennessee we would stop at rest areas ( before every exit had a town of restaurants and gas stations )
    any way he stole all the toilet paper he could get at the rest area(s) , I caught him and ask why ? to me it seemed crazy [B)]
    he explained at home it was as scarce as hens teeth and leaves and corn cobs and a occasional sears catalog were not that great also still out houses no indoor plumbing
    I always reflect back on that , we were poor , but there is always some one in worse shape

    Stole a cheese grater with chunks of cheese still in the grater. Who knows, the guy doesn't look the type that would have the Munchies.
