I think I have to see this new film. It's about the capture and trial of Adolf Eichmann. I remember that story being in the news when I was a little kid.

Look up a book called The House on Garibaldi Street. Yeah, it was real. The Nazis had a detailed plan to move money and high ranking members of the Third Reich to Argentina.
And there was a guy named Isser Harel that a long time ago, I made a note to avoid ever getting him pizzed at me.0 -

This is just s re-make of the program on the history channel that was done several years ago. It will be intresting to see how closely they match. 0 -
Many years ago I read a book written by Peter Malkin called Eichman in my hands. Malkin is the one who actually grabbed eichman off the street and started dragging him in the car. i even found an autographed copy, and it is on my shelf as i'm writing this.
In the book Malkin describes the personalities involved in the raid, including one guy who is the typical "i'm here and i'm in charge" type. Well, Malkin ignores mr. i'm in charge's orders to not talk to eichman, and gets eichman to sign the paperwork saying he is going back to Israel to stand trial. Malkin got to know the monster on a personal level, and he says he did not realize until later in life he saw so many other people just like eichman. They are litle people who suddenly have power, and have to excercise that power just because they can. Whether it is a business exec who makes someone wait just because they can, the burger fliplper who is made a shift leader who harasses his subordinates, or even cops. Many people in life are monsters who simply do not have much power......thank God!
I am hoping that the movie is at least half as good as the book.0
