Kicked The Cat
We have this mostly black female kitty that is about as fat as ole Garfield. Probably weighs close to 20 pounds or more. This morning I woke up super early as usual. The cat was sleeping on our very dark rug out in the dining room.
As I was prodding along in the dark towards the kitchen light switch to make some coffee (which is through the dining room), I caught our big kitty upon the top of my forward moving right foot! Sending her airborne for a few feet and then landing upon the hardwood floor, sliding across the entire kitchen and into the wall across the room![:0][:I]
She did not make a single sound! Just laid there, kind of crumpled by the wall for several seconds. I think she still may have been asleep.
Me, on the other hand, felt my heart just about explode at the shock and sudden surprise! Then glad that I didn't trip over her or step on top and squish some guts out![B)]
Anyway, some strange start to a new day for sure! A football extra point kicker would have been proud of this event! [:D]

I stumble over/inadvertently punt cats fairly often. Sometimes it's pretty comical as they go tumbling or skittering across the ground. No sympathy from me. I don't kick them intentionally and it's not my fault if they get in the way of my feet. Some learn to stay the he!! out of the way and some just keep getting punted.
Oh, BTW no cats in my house EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES--they're filthy, nasty creatures.0
