kodak 104 instamatic film development?
anyone know of a company that can still do it? come on you google freaks.[8D] help me out. thanks.

My oldest son may know a place I have ask him in the past
he was saying it was one if not the only place that would do old film
( i found a few old rolls of film my mom had for years ) but it not cheap it cost the same if the film is blank ( no good ) or pictures can be developed . until just now reading your post I had put them back in a box a forgot about them [:I][:I]
I will get with him and see if I can find out the name of the place / person
my oldest son still takes photos on slide film but its dying off fast also .

"Ditch-Runner" - If your son is still using slide film - please ask him where he gets the slide film & who does the processing. I have 2 old Nikon Fs I would like to use again with slide film.

Keep in mind that if the film isn't fresh, and instamatic film hasn't been produced in over a decade, the images reproduced are going to be poor.0 -

he is away doing a train show ( he sells books at them ) I know he still buys mailers on e ...auction site to ship the slide film in , tells me gets the best deal on there for developing ( have several boxes of slide film in our freezer [B)]) but I will get the info from him , he does digital but still likes the slides ( sells and traded old train slide photos also I would guess he has thousands x times over of them his hobby is the old steam engine runs )
he will be back home on Sunday . the show is today in Marion Oh . . not a good phone reception area for us.

I had some 110 film cartridges undeveloped for years,
a dozen or so. We had them developed and the pics all
had a deep red tint to them but still could see the image.0 -
Any of the processors on the list above can handle color film developing as long as it's for the E6 (slides) or C-41 (negatives).
Unfortunately the last Kodachrome lab shut down in 2010 due to a lack of availability of the chemistry, Kodak just quit making it and the lab ran through its remaining supply. This was the most technically complicated processing for color transparency ever devised. But it rendered images in the absolute best possible method for both color and longevity. (1935-2010)
On the other hand E-6 (Ektachrome and similar) films are still being produced and processed by hundreds of labs around the world for all the folks who refuse to be converted over to digital and for those who still believe in artistic craftsmanship provided by arcane processes.
C-41 for color negative is in that same boat so film and processing is available worldwide.

This is what occurs when the Cyan substrate is lost due to the age of both the film and the processing.
While not perfect by any means, some of the cyan substrate has been partially replaced but you can see that the density curve is still suffering.

walmrt will develop 35mm film, but wont return the negatives. it comes back on disc with your prints. 0 -
It seems that when technology advances, very little time goes by and you find yourself crap out of luck if you continue to pursue the old ways.
I had to go looking in second hand resale shops to find a VHS head cleaner! [:0]
My VHS collection is just too vast to give up on it and fortunately for me there are a LOT of second hand resale shops around!
I have 2 brand new VHS player\recorders still in their boxes that I picked up for very cheap at one such place![:)]0 -

You need to find some replacement drive belt kits. Age doesn't do those rubber bands any good at all, NIB or not0 -
