    I love shooting my .380 semi-auto. I used to have an AMT SA, though. flat as a pancake, that really walloped your hand.

    Wife has a LCP that has a sharp recoil.
    She also has a SIG 238 that is her current EDC,and just got a new S&W shield EZ that needs to be shot. The SIG has very little felt recoil.

    My three favorite .380s are my Bersa Thunder, SIG P232, and Kimber Micro. Lots of fun to shoot, and I conceal carry them each in their own turn.

    .380 is usually my summer carry, since they tend to be smaller for under T shirts. I prefer .45 in winter or cooler months.

    What a great gun but it was kind of large for a 380.

    The .380 is a under rated round IMO.

    Certainly deadly with the right ammo.

    I think the main reason it is more expensive than 9mm is because so many people have a .380. Popularity. It is priced based on what the consumer will pay.

    Kind of like the 10mm Auto being so pricey.

    Just my opinion.

    Was watching Homocide Files ( Lt. Joe Kenda, retired Colo. Springs cop)last night. Victim was shot in the head with a .380 handgun. The Lt. explained this was a "small caliber handgun." Isn't this pretty much the same caliber as a 9mm, .38 special, .357 Magnum, etc. I'm hoping he meant "low powered."

    I don't think the .380 round is overpriced. I think the 9mm is low priced, due to its popularity as a civilian and military round.

    I've got the Ruger LCP as well as a S&W M&P BodyGuard with green CTC laser , both are nice small guns also have a couple of Sig P250 in 380 that the wife really likes , daughter carries a Walther PK380 and I just picked up the S&W Shield EZ that like you still needs to be tried

    While the 380 uses the same diameter projectile (.355) as a 9MM and is called the 9MM short (Kurz) it is actually not a 2MM shorter 9MM case (9MM is 19MM and 380 is 17MM)

    The 380 rim base is a different dimension and is actually the same as a 223 rifle case (they use the same case holder) which is somewhat annoying as reloading for 380 requires a completely different set of tools from 9MM which for say a Dillon ain't cheap for a caliber one does not shoot near as much as a 9MM

    I mention this because I often overhear people at ranges talking and someone saying how the 380 is the same as a 9MM just slightly shorter.

    Less popular than 9 mm... 9 mm they can set up once and run them for several days, with a .380 they'll set up a run and produce them for a half a day... You got to pay for the set up time
