Drop ceiling help,,,

Which way does it go??
Which size tiles will make the room look bigger,2x2 square,or the 2x4 foot tiles??

    You can start with small tiles at one end of the room and increase their size bigger and bigger as you get to the other end.[:D]

    That will make your room an "illusion" for sure![8D]

    2x2 tile look much better over the years as the 2x4 will sag.

    We just finished off a 13 X 46 section of our basement and used 2X2 sections. In our case 2x2 looked better.

    You can get a 2X4 tile that looks like a 2X2 tile. Hardly tell the difference when installed.

    I'd much prefer those 12" (or 10") tongue-and-groove tiles that you make a wood lattice and staple them on. they don't sag, are a tad more resistant to damage, and look more like a ceiling.

    never did like drop ceilings.

    LOL. That's what the house had when we bought it. It sagged. It did not allow access to any utilities,(plumbing,electrical,cable). Tore that crap down before we even moved in. Thanks for the reply of another option tho.

    Rough Side Up, Pretty Side down. SHEESH, I can't believe I have to tell you that[:D]

    But seriously though, the smaller the tile the bigger the room will feel. Sorta like a small shirt on a big guy.
