went to country today....
was rebuilding my treestand and forgot to measure last weekend for my window, gonna put sliding plexiglass in some vinyl J channell. on the drive in I have a mudhole I have been shoveling a small ditch out so the water will drain, I stopped to open up the drain and saw a set of bear prints a good 6-8 inches long in the mud, when all you have is a derringer in your back pocket that will tend to put an uneasy feelin in you.
we had picture few weeks back of a big sow with 3 cubs less than knee high, I looked around for some of the smaller track from the cubs but never found them, needless to say I drove on in and got a quick measurement for the windows, next time will take the 357, hope never need it, but it will make me feel better.[;)] figure I can outrun it in the side by side but don't want ot find out.

If I could get sofa up there I would it is about 7x9, nice swivel desk chair is comfortable enough, got a buddy heater, blood thinners and cold weather don't mix, so sliding windows will keep heat in, if'n I got turn my card in so be it, at least I will be comfortable and warm....[^] 0 -

I have a 4x8 plywood blind with a sloped roof on top of a 1950's Metro cargo van.
Second hand store wooden chairs and a funnel urinal with garden hose out the back. [:D]
The Metro has sat there for 20 years+.
The deer are used to it.
They never even look at the top of it.
I feel secure about keeping my man card as I'm filling the freezer while I look at my buddies across the field eating the wind and cold. [;)]
I stand hunt a lot too but, on this property, I hunt my blind.
It's comfy and relaxing.0 -
