Bernard Baruch came to Ike as we approached the German border and ordered the implementation of the Morgenthau Plan to destroy the German people. Most Americans don't realize that German civilians were fleeing to the Russian zone to escape the wholesale murder and raped that was being encouraged in the Allied zones.

According to that video the treaty that eneded WWI called for all the nations to downsize their national armies and Germany was to do it first. When they did then the Allies were not doing that. At some point they would have invaded Germany when it could not pay the war reparations and probably had a plan to destroy it then. Hitler decided he was not going to play that game.
The war mongers on the allied side started this war pure and simple.0 -
