I see in the ADN, that Dunleavy wants to introduce Sitka Blacktails into the Mat-Su for more hunting opportunities?
Like drivers in the Valley don’t have enough to hit with the moose. I remember seeing signs on the Parks and the Glenn with numbers of moose /cars accidents and moose/people deaths.
His idea doesn’t seem to be supported by the game biologists though. Wonder who actually came up with this pipe dream?

Ya gotta remember you're dealing with politicians here. Show them something shiny and they'll bite. Doubtless it was some young gravel-for-brains aide from the Juneau area where they don't have any highways or speeds higher than 35mph.
Sure, put some deer out on the Hay Flats between the Valley and Anchorage. POOOOOM!!! and a deer goes cartwheeling 100 feet into the air. Super Duty Fords and Mama Duty SUVs at 85mph and deer don't mix.
