Best wishes for a great outcome and fast recovery

When I had the fast growing cataracts a couple year's ago and did not know what was going on

I was scared for the fist time

Even By bass surgery and a few more minor ones I never worried I knew if it went bad i would never know about it

But the thought of going blind really got to me

Keep a positive attitude and ask the ‘docs’ any and all questions. And express your ‘fears’ ,,,,,, being informed is your first defense.

    Prayers for you.

hillbillie, my uncle in Louisa County in Virginia had the cornea transplants and it worked out great. Thats a long haul for you to Morgantown. My son is a WVA grad. Leave it up to the guy upstairs. You will be fine.--------------------------------Ray

thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers, as it stands right now I will just live with it for a while, the retinal specialist and the surgeon both said that right now the risks of surgery outweigh the benefits of it, as long as I can still get along day to day read, drive, ect they recommended I put off surgery for my floaters till they get to the point it hampers my daily abilities, or otherwords till they get so bad I just can't take it anymore, the corneal transplants are still on the table due to my foochs disease but they are saying it may be a year or so off also. as it is right now I see things a little blurry like there is a fingerprint on my glasses or like when you get up in the morning and have sleep in your eye, only I can't rub my vision clear, so good lord willing I'll make it a few more years then maybe see things more clearly then........

I'm so glad you have great doctors working with you. Vision is something everyone takes advantage without realizing what all can happen when things start to slip. I hope things go well and you don't have to get the surgery anytime soon.
