GB Accounts Hacked I'm getting emails with offers
Yep started about a month ago getting odd emails from GB account holders. Asking repeat questions on firearms.
Had another reply today so I called the one FFL and yepper he said he was hacked a week back. The criminal was bidding on shotguns and WW1-2 firearms.
I no sooner got off the phone and in comes another email I'll post it here:
JIM IN TENN....YOU HELPED ME WITH TAX INFO'''I AM A BUYER FOR THIS GUN'''ANY INTEREST IN A ''SERIOUS BUYER OFFER''''THANK YOU JIM''''THINK SHIP TO 37076 REASONABLE FROM PAST DELIVERIES'''''
He never bid on the gun! However this is how the hackers start a conversation with you.
So far I haven't noticed and bids on my stuff.

I have been getting off and on some from a member I used to chat with but haven't in over a year, TAPWATER, Dale but know they are not real, " he said "wanting me to click on a certain link which we NEVER did that ever.

Received e-mail about renewing my credit cards on file, even if they show active? If I don't, my account will be frozen.

Thank you for being a GunBroker.com customer. While converting our credit card system we identified sellers credit cards listed as payment methods that are missing important payment information. This information is needed so can continue selling on the site. To resolve this issue, you need to edit the credit cards you have on file as your primary and secondary payment methods. This will update your information. You need to do this even if your card shows as “Valid” on GunBroker.com.
To update your credit card information:
* Go to My GunBroker > Account > Billing Info
* Location the Credit Card Information section near the bottom of the page
* Select Edit next to the card you wish to update
Please update your card information by the close of business on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. After Tuesday we will be setting all credit cards that have not been updated to “Invalid”. This could impact your ability to list and sell items.

YEP that's the one from today after getting 3 others from the same hacked account over this past weekend. The first email wanted to know if I combine shipping After getting the same question 2x I figured he was a hacker. Last month I also got the GunBroker Phising account log in to correct email.
Kind of wish I was still working in the control room where I had access to some really nice international corporate servers so I could spam these crooks back!!

These guys Eingrish composition is a give away. For a 3 word question they do OK . LOL SMH

To be safe I never respond to an email about cards payment options ect. I go directly to the web site and check my messages directly. I get 3-4 from all kinds of places weekly many go directly to the spam can.

I don't know if it's related, but I couldn't sign in earlier. Other sites were no problem.
Of course it would happen when I'm bidding on items.
