I've had alls I can stand.........

can't stands no more, as popeye would say. Grandaughter mentioned she was cold, I stay cold with all the meds and bloodthinners I'm on, so went and looked at thermostat, 63 in house. it has been in high 20's at night and not supposed to get over 50 rest of week during day, so turned the furnace on and lit the ventless heater in basement, furnace didn't run more than 5 minutes and heater in basement allready has house at 70, may have to turn it down a tad, it is only on its second setting, but the heat does feel good............ momma won't be happy as she still is in that hot flash stage, I know she is gonna cut loose when she gets home, hoping the grandkids will take some of the blame..

    We try to keep the house at 65 during the day…62 at night.

    63 Sounds comfortable to me, but I always run hot year round.

    For me it depends on the time of year regarding hot and cold temperatures.


    In the early Spring, 45 feels a lot warmer than 45 does in late Fall. 😮

    Never could ‘cipher’ why 66° feels just right in the summer, but too damn cold in the winter !! 🤣

    Humidity is always a comfort factor Summer in Charleston SC I prefer 68-70 Winter I can live with 71 ish

    We prefer 72 in the living room and 69 in the bedroom.

    Supposed to get to 23° tonight.


    Windows open in bedroom, bedroom door shut.


    Furnace set to 55°. I get up.at 3am, get home at 4:30pm. Turn up on weekends when the wife unit and squabs come home. Can't sleep worth a crap over the weekend.


    Then, sweet bliss of sleeping in a 30° room.
