Fertilizer shock.
We have a large garden. Went to purchase 10 bags of triple 13 from the COOP. 50 lbs now cost $28 a bag, Last year it was $17. COOP said ALL fertilizer will increase between 20-40% this year nation wide. There may be some old stock around somewhere for last years prices if you are fortunate.
Most people are going to be shocked and the price of grain, feed, veggies, and fruit this year, when the first crops (post-Biden) start hitting grocer shelves this year.

Read that a while back that fertilizer , fuel costs, seed and everything will go up. Meat prices go up from that . Transportation with higher fuel prices.

Most likely would have much growing value since it has been recycled for may years.

Wait till you price some Roundup. Also anhydrous ammonia is double what it was last year and it was high then. Grain markets are pretty good but they aren't THAT good. Everybody is just handling a lot more money but not actually making any more.

My acre + garden won't cost me much, except time for fertilizer.
Two chicken coops, to clean out in the spring, and letting a dozen heifers clean up the garden at the end of last season will give it all the fertilizer it needs.

I bought triple 19 hay fertilizer Saturday for $910/ton and that was the best price I could find and it is getting another price hike this week.

We bought and applied our cropland fertilizer in November. Darned good strategy if I do say so myself. I did not pay for my hay ground fertilizer since I wasn't sure how much hay I wanted to produce--then last week a buyer told me he'd take all I could grow in 2022. OOPS, that's going to cost me 50% more.

first time i have made some real money on alfalfa big round bales...over 4 1/2 times price i got many years ago...but....a neighbor had to replace an irrigation system and price he told me was 3 times what i bought my last one

The price of fertilizer spiked about 10 years ago.Since then I have tried to buy as little as I can and use it sparingly.

Tough decision coming up. New hay buyer says he'll contract for all I can produce. I have to decide how much overpriced fertilizer I want to buy and gamble on cooperative weather.

I have at least 35 adult breeding rabbits. Trust me, fertilizer is not a problem!! 😂

My oldest son provides me with all of the fertilizer I need for my small garden. He has 3 alpacas that always poop in the same spot on his farm, which makes the gathering process quite simple! The nice thing about using alpaca dung is you can use fresh without worrying about burning your plants. It does not need to be composted.

went to the website, didn't find the documentary... everything I looked at talks very vaguely about it without any details, but plenty of click here to pay money or go to some other source... may be a great idea. But all I see is a tree hugging save the planet by giving us money operation...

Sure thing Ru - the doc tracks the climate changes during planting seasons around the world and the data is shocking. Just putting the vaporized topsoil in the atmosphere @#$%'s w/climate patterns something fierce - not to mention where we are w/topsoil levels v 50 and 100 years ago. We can do more for carbon takedown by going to no-till, drill seeding in 10 years than 50 years forward and back w/auto emission controls. Maybe this Netflix link is better.
