    On the face of it, it does seem unnatural but they have been using pig heart valves in humans for 30 years. Bob

    I've had quite a few patients that received a pig valve. I think of that as a mechanical device and not a living organ. A lot to think about.

    Nobody should be very surprised here............there has been lots of research in organ and tissue transplantation between people and pigs. The pig biology and body is one of the most closely related to humans.............. plus we raise TONS of them.

    If I were on dialysis...........I would welcome this.

    Hoping someday the tech will work. I have a dear friend who is kidney reliant , going to Dr. next Friday for some complicated surgery. She has been given 3 months to live. Spoke today she is going for it.
