If you shoot 3 and find all of them, the price is cut in half.

If you shoot your gun and the bullet hist a limb, what happens?

If only the cost were limited to the method of take. Processing, unless you do it yourself, ain't cheap and processing takes time, if nothing else. Plus transportation costs, tags and license fees, and what about the cost of the weapon itself? Knives aren't free either.

People I know who hunt, don't do it for any cost savings. I know I certainly don't.

I've never known a person who hunted cause they couldn't afford to buy meat from a store.

I have known a few actually, though in the end they got caught and the fines totaled more than a side of beef........

I live in a very rural area where 50-75% of kids in the schools receive free breakfast and lunch at school...most of them also get "buddy packs" with food in them for the weekend. I have met a few folks that depend on the venison they harvest each year just to get by....

I fear there will be more as things run in short supply.....

My hunting arrows cost about 20 bucks each by the time I add a quality broadhead and tweak the nocks...when I shoot something with them, they are usually toast.

Being able to buy meat from the store and inside plumbing are a couple of things not to be taken for granted. 😉

2 1lb pkg of ground chuck $4.78 lb ($9,56), 4 petite fillet mignon $26.82 lb They were all very small ($35.94) so for a total of $45.50 for enough beef for the wife and I to have 4-5 dinners depending upon how we used the ground chuck....this was at Wally world today, the same amount 3 months ago would have been about $31.00...anyways with your $1 bullet or a $30 arrow you would have a heck of a lot more meat, of course there are the other fees associated with the hunting as mentioned above, my point is if these prices keep going up, I may have to become a Poacher as there are plenty of deer around my place...
