In cases like this is blood drawn from all involved ?? Baldwin does have a history and well known bad temperment.
Again: Is anyone on here qualified or experienced enough to say if blood is drawn for chemical/alcohol testing from all persons involved in "accidental" matters like this, much as when a death occurs in auto accidents.

BRAVO Rocky !! BRAVO
That is what I have been telling friends and others for years...no one wants to hear it.. The most impressionable in our society (KIDS) get almost ALL their so called education from TV, Videos and the movies. No one ever held a gun sideways until some hotshot movie star did it on the big screen and now every thug caught on surveillance is doing the same thing. They didn't learn that in gun safety class. The media has killed more people in this country than have died in any conflict since WWII.

I guess I can carry my "prop" gun anywhere I want to.
Thank God I don't own "assault weapons" any longer. Interesting how the vernacular changes depending on who is holding the firearm.
It was a firearm PERIOD. It was not a "prop". It may be a firearm used as a "prop" it is still a firearm.

One question. Would you ever fire a weapon that someone else claimed did not have live ammo in it without checking the firearm yourself? Not me, -----------------------------Ray

If someone told me a firearm did not have live ammo, I don't see myself firing it in a life or death situation.

Don, you are correct. I edited that part out. What if blanks were the only game in town? I was trying to imply somehow the mere presence of a firearm can save a life even if it was unloaded. Of course no one wants to defend them self with a unloaded weapon.--------------------Ray

I personally don't see the debate in who is guilty of some form of negligence. Anyone involved in a movie production is there for one reason. Money!
Doesn't matter the job title, they are there to establish their moment in history of altered reality.
Everything they stand for is illusion, except collecting the huge paycheck after the perfect shot of their fake, hips, lips, tits, butts, and brains are on film.
The staff behind the scenes are in the same boat. Greed is, and has always been, the end of many great people.
Just like a dog returning to vomit, Baldwin will continue, and so will the next idiot.
It's Hollywood, they fake everything else, why not gunfire?

Negligent Homicide at the very least.
"Souza told them Baldwin was "sitting in a pew in a church building setting, and he was practicing a cross draw," the affidavit said."
Alec Baldwin shooting: Actor practicing drawing gun when it discharged
The shot that killed a cinematographer on a New Mexico film set last week was fired as actor Alec Baldwin was practicing drawing his gun, according to the director who was injured in the shooting, an affidavit for a search warrant shows. The headlines should have read: Alec Baldwin kills directer while playing with firearm on movie set.

For many decades there have been movies made using blanks in firearms. Now they need to be banned from movie sets. Because banning idiots who do not follow the safety rules doesn't make any sense. Seems I've heard this story before.

No real guns or live ammo on a movie set, huh?
John Wayne and Constance Towers shooting William Holden's .44 Magnum Smith & Wesson.
Notice the lack of ear and eye protection. Good times!

NM is cultivating the movie industry and will most likely bring charges against the lowest person, if anyone, on the totem pole. The whole concept of having three people between the actors and the prop person is to make it vague as to where responsibility lies. Lawyers are already licking their lips and billing their clients.

The gun has been described as an "Era appropriate antique firearm."

It boils down to this-
Forget Hollywood, why is this lady dead? Because Baldwin shot her.

from what i have seen and heard live guns are not uncommon ( or use to be ) on movie and TV sets it was like a normal thing . they also as some one posted same move may have solid resin / plastic look alike guns and then have ones just made to fire blanks and of course real live fire guns . but what counts a series of checks were not followed thru confirming as suppose to . there will be a butt load of cash paid out to settle lawsuits and some maybe a couple will get possible jail time probation for sure and any licenses to work with firearms will be revoked
none of which will bring back the dead girl . the ones involved will always have blood on there hands and a lady's death in there mind to deal with

Totally agree. Who ever has a firearm in their possession is responsible for it.

Yeah, but what you missed is the milkman standing there thinking "Boy am I going to catch heck when I head back without any milk bottles".
