Fauci predicted packed football stadiums would become super spreader events. The reverse happened. All over the SEC south states have seen marked declines of Covid.
Might it be that folks were exposed, but low viral exposure gave people's natural ability to fight viruses a chance to thwart infection?
I'm not a virologist and didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn so don't quote me.

Natural immunity is better than anything artificial. Going with what the Lord gives you will always be best!! I had the Kung Fu flu. For me it was no big deal in anyway. I think having had the bug gives me way better protection than an untested vaccination.

I'm just wondering if we hadn't gone into a lock down, masked up, social distanced and went on with our lives, maybe, just maybe it wouldn't have been as bad.

The actual death rate of people who get covid is less then 1/2 of 1%. This has never been about disease. This is about control and seeing how compliant the populace is.

In this area, the minute people began arguing natural immunity was good enough TV media trotted out a local doctor saying natural + artificial was better and "get the vaccination". What will it be next week??

If you survive the virus natural immunity is going to be better than that developed from a vaccine. Generally speaking a persons chance of surviving a bout of the virus is better if they've had the vaccine prior to exposure . it's really not either or, there are many different people and outcomes. Certainly the more of us that have antibodies against it is going to slow its circulation.
Fauci's credibility was destroyed some time ago.

The more time goes by, the more people are developing natural immunity. “Herd immunity” for a community is natural plus artificial immunity and is typically around 75% of the population. So if half have got the vaccine and half the unvaccinated have acquired natural immunity, then as a society we have reached herd immunity and it’s beating the virus.
Note that nobody on the news is talking about natural immunity anymore.

My daughter has had both shots and my wife gets the second shot after 21 day wait on Wednesday. When my wife got first shot I had a temperature of 101.3. They made me drink a glass of water and re-checked me Second time was 100.3 and they would not give me the vaccine. I had just finished a anti-biotic for a infected toe. I told the pharmest (sp) good I did not want to take the shot anyway. she looked at me like I had three heads. Crossed my mind, it was a omen.
My wife and daughter harassed me constantly to get the vaccine. Now, I probably won't get the vaccine. For me it really is about my freedom to choose. I can understand how Randy and his wife feel about this whole thing.------------------------------------Ray

Somebody here probably knows more about this than I do but I heard that it was found that the talking heads that were preaching the anti-vax sermon,95% of them had gotten vaccinated.I think we are knee deep in horse poop from both sides.

susie your suspicions are exactly correct. People gain robust immunity from having survived exposure to covid. In fact, studies are now showing that folks who survived sars cov-1 have immunity to sars cov-2.
The MRNA therapy is about worthless and possibly worse, as it appears to be causing the variants.

Our Doc told my wife on a follow visit ( she was hit fairly hard with covid my oldest son and I also but not as bad as her ) any way he said your natural immunity is now better than any shot or vax .. and none of us have had any shots for covid
just my 2 cents I seen it did on the news a few weeks back Covid has create more billion airs in the USA due to the ..Government forcing people ( and pressure company's to force the people to comply ) . all about money and control seems to be the bottom line

Opposing vaccine mandates is not the same as opposing the vaccine. it is the media that comes up with the terms like "anit-vaxers" for people that are really anti-mandates.

True. The question people should be asking is not "Are you vaccinated?"
They should be asking "Are you immune?"

Actually they shouldn't be asking anything, a person health is their own business, albeit they should not be out among others if they are sick. Some people just don't get that.
