Why is the 3 inch barrel model 66 so pricey? Is that a special order model?

  Somewhat special order I suppose. They're easy enough to get if you're ordering, but most people buy a 2" or jump to a 4". So 3" pistols end up being kind of rare, same with 5" barrels. Years ago I ordered a 3"model 36 for my wife. I also have a 3" model 13.

  I had quite a few 3" Smiths and Colts but sold them all when the prices were up.
