I don't follow the NFL like I did when I moved to WI in '58 for school and the Pack was all the talk. Now the stupid Jon Gruden e-mails his was out of a $100M job. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Decades old. I wonder how many people could be fired from a job if they were given a "truth pill" and asked have you said anything racist, anything against gays or anything demeaning blondes, ect. in YOUR life.
Ole Joe and Ms. Harris along with every person in the USA. That be fact. Now let's ask the news medias "anchors" first and go from there.
NO fan of Gruden but this could be done with anybody.

I don't know the guy nor do I give one whit about the NFL but 30 years ago what he said would not be a problem. I don't find any of it really all that bad and agree with some of it.
People are a little too sensitive nowadays.
Give me the "truth pill" I have said some really bad things about people and do every day. By todays standards I am raycist, homophobic and a real bad person all around.............

A year ago I would have argued with you about college football but now that they are paid athletes, I can agree. I'll still watch the occasional college game but it just isn't the same. Bob

I usually think there should be a "statute of limitations" on dumb things folks did but looks like he was consistent over time.
He's a throwback to earlier times and is now thrown under the bus.😏
Reminds me of an old Playboy cartoon about a "Cultured Vulture" -- caption was "The vulture can't sing a note but knows instantly when the lark is off-key. He then immediately eats the lark"

I still enjoy college football and baseball. We have season tickets and pre COVID would try to make one away game and a bowl game every year.
