This has been going on with dish for over a year. They will only pay a certain amount and not a penny more, and ABC, CBS cuts them off. They put on a 24/7 recorded message from the CEO on the blacked out station saying their the good guys. Back to directv again.

We cut all ties with dish a coupe years back they kept us hanging in by every time we told them we were done they would keep dropping the cost to keep us

Last time my wife just said no thanks if you can keep cutting the. Out offering package deals why not do it all the the time I miss some stations but not bad enough to keep paying not counting all the left news stations and crap programs forced in on the package offers

That has been an off and on problem with Dish for the 10+ years we have subscribed. Fortunately we also have an antenna that can pick up most of the local channels. Out of the multitude of Dish channels we only watch probably 10% but I would miss some if them like Grit and MeTV if we cancel. Bob

When I cancelled Dish they kept offering to drop the price. The price got down to $11.00 a month.I told them that their equipment was on the front porch and they need to send someone to pick it up.

We have played between Dish and Direct for a lot of yrs. When one screws up we get the discounts and go to the other.

I get both over antenna, out of Omaha Nebraska.

Grit is KLKN chanel 3-5, and ME TV is KETV 7-2.

And I live 60 miles from Omaha

When we first moved up here we got Dish. Then they started playing their games and we told them we were done. We went with Directv and haven't missed Dish at all. We also get Dayton OH MeTV for free, Not a lot on and mostly reruns, but we only watch it during meals. That way there is no stress like when you watch any network news.

I just cut the cord with DirecTV last week and will be doing strictly streaming with Netflix and SlingTV. Everytime it came up a pretty good cloud, we would lose the DirecTV signal. Then they jumped my bill almost 50% without sending me an email like they say they will. I was on auto-pay and have never received a bill, I would just get an alert each month when the card was charged. I saw that it went up and said, "not anymore". We watch no news on TV and only a couple of shows on local stations. Mainly watch ID Network, DIY Channel, Discovery along with a few others. We will see how well we adjust to this.

Got rid of Dish TV 4 years ago. Use nothing but indoor antenna and get all our local channels along with ME TV and a few other national channels. With my restricted satellite internet service with expensive limited monthly access, I can do no streaming. I do have blue ray players and VCR's hooked up to all of my TV's as well as a well stocked library of movies and old series.

I have heard that Dish, along with AT&T's Direct TV services are really hurting for paying customers these days!

I got rid of DN few years ago. (and never looked back)

Have FREE Antenna TV and get approximately 60 channels. (but did have to install about $200 worth of antennas and amplifiers on a rotor) Live in a rural area with closest station about 60 miles out.

Dish Net sucks big air. Could not hardly even get them to answer their phone when I was a sub. Cancelled the sub and now I cannot get them to just leave me alone. They also would and probably still do such, give first time users a big discount to suck them in, but not even want to talk to their already customers about discounts unless cancelling a sub. I told them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

Can now put my money that was going to Dish net to good use, buying guns from GB, lottery tickets, whiskey and going to the Casino's.

Used to have Direct TV but sick and tired of their 100s of channels with nothing worth watching, and constant price increases. Dumped Direct, went to Dish. Exactly the same problems. Dumped Dish. Now I do a lot of reading.
