A beautiful pair of best friends there Rae!! I've always wanted a Border Collie, A Burnese Mountain Dog, a Blood Hound, a Dachshund, a Brittany Spaniel, a Bearded Collie, a Cairn Terrier, a, and an a, and an a.........😯
If only I could live so long! I've owned a lot of different dog breeds over the years but some 25 years or so ago when I met my first Golden Retriever it was love at first sight for me!

Someone told me of a Border Collie that was so smart the owner and his wife would spell words like treat,go out,food and such.After three weeks the dog knew what they were spelling.

I do know, my dog Buddy is the "Dog of a Lifetime," for me. I Thank God every night for bringing us together, letting me find him and bring him home from the Shelter at apprx. 9 mo of age. (Found wandering without a collar/ID.)
Buddy and I are close enough, he can read my mind. I do not know how he does it, but I've seen/experienced it over and over. I do not doubt it anymore. (Spell stuff?) Unnecessary, with him. I LOVE my dog. (As you do yours, Rae.)

I cannot imagine not having a Border Collie but I draw the line at two. My wife is not a dog person, the primary reason I draw the line at two.
My wife's problem is she isn't as smart as our two BCs, the girls know it and they screw with her head on a regular basis!!!!😂😋
