Remington R-51?
I know the 'new' R-51 had problems, Are/were these 'fixable'? Local Pawn shop has one.

Local big box had them in 2017 Black Friday sale for 200 bucks. Have only put about 100 rounds thru so may not even be broken in. (Too many guns to keep current with all of them I guess). Not a tack driver but fun to shoot.

I have had to many people try to sell me used ones. Meaning the new made ones. Makes you think why are they selling them so soon.

My experience involved a caveat with the mags. The lips were sharp and marked the brass until I did some smoothing out with a honing stone. The mag spring is also too strong for the seventh round to load easily so I used six. Didn't have any other issues. I suspect that most of the problems folks had with the R51 involved these things and they just don't figure them out. This is a nice gun for CC, narrow and smooth. Seems to have gotten a bum rap IMHO…..

Mine had sharp edges where the webbing of the hand contacted the receiver. I had multiple failures to extract, double feeds, stove pipes, failures to eject, failures to feed and failures to fire. By far the worst handgun I’ve ever owned. Mine was one of the newer ones.
