I know several folks that had the procedure.

Piece of cake but pay very close attention to doctors orders.

    Prayer in order from here.

Was a very long day but happy to report that I survived. Just walked in the door at 8:30 pm. They took my appendix out and put the mesh in. Too late for my daughter to drive me upstate to her farm in Delaware County. I will try to stay with her for a week or so.

Will p/u some pain med in the am before we drive upstate.

I will try to lurk for a while on my daughters computer.

Thank you all for your many prayers. God is good. ——————Ray

I’m glad everything went well. In a few days you will feel better and able to get around as before, and don’t try and lift anything heavy.

Picked up some Tramadol this am if i get desperate. Headed up to my daughters farm in Delaware County 2+ hrs. She knows more about horses than anyone i ever knew. She even took her horse to college with her. She has a lot on her plate now with her two horses and dad. SIL and grandson really not horse people so its all on Heather. Wished I had had the money. She has degree in PT but should have been a Vet.

Grandpa always had work horses. No tractor for him. His brother was a horse breeder. Must be in the Genes.

My good friend and neighbor was NYPD for nine years and he and wife and other neighbor watch my house like a Hawk. He tried so hard to get in K-9 but nearly impossible so he resigned and is now a NYC Fireman. Was allowed to purchase his service 9MM Clock. He has another same Clock. One for the left hand and one for the right! Went to the Fireman's Academy also. His wife is a Paralegal and son is a great baseball player. Scouts are checking him out.

Many here probably don't understand that I hate the politics, taxes and gun laws in NY State and when I bail out for Kents Store, Virginia it will be so hard to say goodbye to my neighbors.

Hope I can log on to "Forum" when I feel better with my daughters puter. Stay well /happy you guys/gals. Again, thanks for all your prayers and Happy New Year————————-Ray

I've had 2 hernia surgeries, and have to say they hurt for a while. I was glad to have the meds. But it was well worth it in the end. Hang in there, and don't try to do too much, too fast. We'll keep praying for you.

Success: Got in with daughters puter. now i know how a whitetail feels after getting hit with double "O"s This is day 4 after surgery. Some trouble sleeping as most of pain is on right side where i sleep. Four holes from robotic surgery and i guess they glue them shut. They took the appendix out also. I am a little afraid of Tramadol so taking two extra strength tylenol and one ibuprofen like they told me.

Willie Jr is doing great but a little confused. He misses the pee pan about half the time. Starting to cock his leg like a adult dog. Guess i need to get him fixed?

Really cold up here in the North Country (Delaware county) and snows a little every day. My daughter ready to start digging fence post holes in Kents Store, Va. for the two horses. She is so tired of the cold and NY politics.

Starting to hurt so will lurk for a while. Prayers for all those in Ca. fire areas. Will catch you folks later.—Ray

Tramadol is very safe Ray … it's the only thing I'll take after surgery. Just use it at night because the side effect is being drowsy.

    Ray.........

Tramadol is a powerful drug.......but very useful if used correctly.

Every 3 to 6 months…...I experience moderate to severe phantom pains, which the Tramadol can knock down in 3 to 4 hours. Otherwise……an episode can last from 18 to 36 hours.…or a TENS unit is utilized. During this time......NO sleeping can occur.

It's good stuff...…..just stay home, and try to relax.

    Hope this helps.

Tried the Tramadol 50mg last night but did not really see a improvement. Keep waking up with paln. I can tolerate it but really cutting in to my sleep time. Catching up during the day somewhat. Mostly throbbing across my abdomen where they poked the 4 holes. No pain down below where hernia was popping out and appendix was removed as i understand it. I get the most relief during the day with large thin ice pack on my tummy——Ray

This too shall pass, Ray. Takes time to heal and it seems to take longer the older we get.
