On this day in 1706 Benjamin Franklin was born. Always thought he was a pretty special guy. Signed the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. When our 1st president was elected he was 82 years old. Today I am 82 years old.

Nothing special about me. Born in Norfolk General Hospital when the black out shades were drawn and U-Boats prowled the Chesapeake. Just another War Baby. Mom was all alone and dad was a Medic. Proud to be called a Patriot and share my birthday with Ben. ———————-Ray

  But I will wager a lot of people still admire you

  as for Ben Franklin I know he gets a lot of air time but not as much as he should

  like a lot of the founding fathers and people who started this country Their achievements and drive got the country going

  I will wager they would not like what has happened

  Hard to image now we were that close, to a turkey as the nation's symbol old ben wanted it bad

  Now Most peope have no idea about wild turkeys

  They just think of the butterball in the supermarket, and the have no idea domestication has them dumbed down and too big to even come close to a wild bird
