Looking for a fishing spot

I live near chicago and we are looking for a spot to go fishing. we are thinking of WI IL or IN, anyone know where to go or what is sort of close?

Good old Lake Michigan... I fished out of Winthrop Harbor a few years back and hammered the Coho in late April! 6 guys, 30 fish in 4.5 hours the first day and 3.5 hrs the 2nd day.

Someone said Busse Woods on 83 is a good place also.

Don't go to Lake Shelbyville in central Il. There are NO fish there. No Crappie, no walleye, no white bass, large mouth or even muskie.[:D]
