Old camo tape!
I was given and old browning compound today, the kind with the wood riser and limbs, I grew up with these as a kid, and still think their beautiful bows. this one is mechanically sound and shoots well; but the previous owner covered it in camo tape, I pulled the tape, (which is probably older than I am) and am left with an adhesive mess.
my question is, what can I use to remove the old adhesive without ruining the finish?
or am I stuck restoring the finish altogether - (which I am willing to do but am looking for an easier solution).
any advice would be appreciated.
thanks.

Almost all of that stuff is more expensive than a can of lighter fluid. It works best & is cheap. You will also need to use some rags that will be trashed because when you wipe off the glue it will stick to the rag forever lol! Once the Glue is gone use a wash cloth with mild soap & wash off the bow. Inspect it for any more glue smears & continue the process until its all de-gluded. Once thats done you can use some high quality car wax to put the shiny finish back on it. 0
