National Parks and loaded guns
Just came over the national news, and lets just find out what happens. Make sure EVERYONE on both sides of the red and blue line pays attention; it was attached to the new credit card law(bill) going through congress to fix part of the problems the last administration created to make them richer. It was attached by a Democrat, and agreed to by 26 other Democrats, along with hundreds of Republicans. Remember this is a credit card bill, and the part that was added reportedly said that currently you can carry an UNloaded gun into a national park (like Yellowstone) and it must remain unloaded and packed away. The new law would read that you can carry a LOADED gun into a park if that state's laws allow you to carry a loaded gun such as with a permit, so on. It was tacked onto a bill having nothing to do with guns, by a Democrat and the President is expected to sign the bill into law this week regardless of this addition.
Who's a liberal, who likes guns and who is making plans to take yours away? Rethink your ideas people.

I've never quite understood the whole 'getting permission' thing to carry a firearm.
Sorta like a high school senior rasing their hand in class to obtain permission from the instructor to make a head call.

Hmm...the following article states that Senator Tom Coburn, Republican-Okla, was the one to insert the gun measure into the bill:

Soon as Bamster signs it, it is a done deal. It puts things back to the way Bush had it. ( a lefty woman judge took Bush's Executive Order down )
Think of it this way... Since you already have RTBA and Heller, why should citizens give up their rights just because you have entered a Federal Park.0 -

The battle was already won by the founders. We are the buffons which allowed ourselves to be convinced by the likes of the NRA, that we had to "gain" something or "win" something! Wake up. That is correct. I don't know what the OP is talking about or trying to prove but Coburn put that into the bill.0 -

It started way before Bush. Who deregulated Freddie Mac and Fannie May? Check the facts before you jump. Bush did alot to add to our present situation but it started before him.
We are talking RIGHTS here and not seeking the gov's PERMISSION!

Regarding Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac vs. the Bush Admin, I've seen articles such as this one surface over the last year. Apparently it wasn't a big issue back in 2003, but with the current economy, hindsight is what it is:
