Deposits in barrel

I am wondering if anyone can help me remove deposits from the inside of my barrel. I have a stainless barrel and I borrowed it to a friend for a muzzle hunt and he did a terrible job cleaning it. I now have deposits on the inside and an elk hunt approaching

  I would come over and help, but I have plans all weekend.[;)] really what kind of deposits are they? rust, white powder, black stains? I am guessing a good wire brush, and a hot soapy bath would get the most of it out.

  Loaning tools and guns to anyone is not always the best idea. Hoppes #9 and a good brass bore brush would be my first suggestion.

  I second the notion about not loaning tools or guns.
  I lent my TC Hawken to a [ex] friend.
  Came back ruined.
