SCOTUS petitions filed for 2A incorporation

The NRA filed a petition for certiorari with the SCOTUS earlier this month to appeal the 7th Circuit ruling regarding the incorporation of the 2nd Amendment to the states:

Just today, another petition of certiorari was filed with the SCOTUS related to a 2nd Circuit appeal as to the incorporation of the 2nd Amendment to the states:

  California and Texas, along with 31 other states, filed a Supreme Court amicus brief in support of the petition for certiorari as filed in the 7th Circuit case mentioned above: http://www.cleveland.com/nation/index.ssf/2009/07/local_handgun_bans_challenged.html
  
  Even the California Attorney General Jerry Brown, aka Moonbeam, filed in support of the petition, but is looking for guidance on the extent firearms can be regulated:
