I am looing into buying a P229 and I cant find anything about mag capacity. I live in IL does anyone know if its 10 rounds?

Im looking for the law. I was told by a FFL nothing over 10 rds so I am trying to confirm it.

I live in cook county and was told pistols cant have more than 10 rounds. I am trying to buy a p229 but all come with 12 round mags.

According to Sig website the P229 is available in 9mm, .40s&w, .357 sig with 10rd mags. If you are looking at buying sig that currently has higher capacity mag request to buy without mag and purchase the 10 rounders here on GB or many local dealers carry Sig and Sig accessories. Check with your local dealer for Sig preowned program, can used firearm that has been gone over by Sig and probably get whatever accessories you want.
