Not thick enough, yet. Hopefully soon it will be ready for some holes to be drilled, can't wait either.

6 to 12" most places, but might be a little dicey in places since we had that little earthquake night before last. I plan on finding out for sure tomorrow!

I checked it a few days ago, and I think it was at least five inches thick ... now I've got to get back over to the lake and see what is biting!

Rats ... I've been too busy and now the ice is beginning to melt. I may have a chance ... or I'll just cast into the open water. Why does winter have to end so soon down here in the States![;)]

We have between 8 and 30 depending on the lake/river area. I have been out a lot this winter. Too much fishing to post much. What a terrible thing, huh?

I finally got over to my lake (read pond 200 yards by 100 yards) and the ice is breaking up around the edges. So I broke it up some more and tried fishing beside the ice ... couple nibbles and that is all! Bummer ... but it was fun to be outside, the weather is so great!

Ice? we ain't got no stinking ice. Actually our best striper fishing is the coldest time of the year. Up by the nuclear plant at the hot hole.

Lake Mille lac in central Mn had 37 inches last Sat, went out and caught a few perch that actually weighed 1lb plus. It was seventeen below zero this morning, if this keeps up we'll have a good four feet by the fourth of July.

The ponds are frozen over, larger lakes are open. One of my co-workers had to cancel his trip to ND because all of the ponds out there where frozen, and the crops are all in yet.
