The flag banner with Washington looks good to me...with the possible exception of 'ol George. He hated the Militia...doesn't seem fitting to have him there.

I never saw anything with Washington in it, but frankly I'm surprised at this statement...surprised, but not offended, so don't take it in that manner.

I'm just surprised that you would express any hostility towards the "Father of our Country", especially since Washington's attitudes towards the colonial militia had more to do with their running at the drop of a hat than any opinions towards an armed citizenry

Most country folks were adverse to marching across open fields into the mouths of cannon and the muskets of the best trained open field soldiers in the world. They preferred to snipe from behind trees, and the running ambush warfare.
Washington was a gentleman. He fought like a gentlemen.

I think the Hessians at Trenton would beg to differ.

If I may offer a suggestion, I feel the Canary should hold a evil black rifle in one claw, and a copy of the US Constitution in the other. Wish I was savy to this internet stuff to help out.

Yeah, just a page that it's under construction kinda deal. Hoping to resolve my domestic situation so that I can dedicate more time to it without any distraction.

    I like that.

Now a few of big questions:

    1) email, do you guys want email @canaryass(es).com/org/net

    2) how paranoid are you? should I set it up so that emails are exchanged encrypted?

    3) mailing lists?

    4) organization. Someone has to be editor/administrator for it, approve and edit what goes on the front page, manage articles, sections of the site, users, etc. It's super easy, no specific computer knowledge is required to do so. Should probably be discussed in private, so any takers, just email me and we'll it all up.

Why? I am very paranoid, I prefer encrypted mail.

    So be it.

'Paranoid', in addition to being a great Black Sabbath tune, suggests one is skeptical and mistrusting of others with no reason.

I submit that clear evidence exists that supports the distrust many of us have for big daddy "G".

Fire Dude (does this Dude abide?) - yeah, "paranoid" in this context means only paranoid of B.B., not watching, but having an ability to. I understand that under certain circumstances "they" can request for all of the encryption keys so that data can be decoded, but that will be the a whole different story, day and history.

"If you are not paranoid, it doesn't mean they aren't after you."

    In this case paranoia=common sense.

It is a message from Rockatansky via his alter ego: Now that my account has been locked out, and I have no intentions of begging the almighty gentleman to unlock it, if there is still interest in this, contact me via my normal email: max at punker dot org. And if not, oh well. [:D]

It has been a fun ride, but nothing lasts forever!

Odd, I saw nothing even close to worthy of a lockout. All There was, was a longtime members desire for a lockout because his panties were bunched a little. Hooodathunk? Makes no sense.

Well, let's stick to the subject here. [:D]

Rock's working on a more drastic rebuttal. [:p]

Called a spade a spade. Let's not digress.

Anybody want to register and maybe help me with some organization and preliminary content? No specific computer or web development knowledge is required.

I would be happy to as time permits of course.
    What do you need?
I am kind of out of the loop on this, as I have been pretty busy recently.

I opened it up. Anybody come on in, still needs a decent banner and content. I'll be updating things as we go, there's a forum also, but at least take a look what things look like, maybe someone publish something [:)]

User blogs, chat, webmail, etc. will be coming up shortly.

And I am logging out and blacklisting forums.gunbroker.com on my laptop so I don't come back here "accidentally" [:D]
