For those who live in the viewing area of WGAL Channel 8, I wanted to give you a heads up about a new/returning news anchor named Jere Gish. He was here in Kansas City and generally, when reported on "gun related issues," displayed an anti-firearm bias. He loves to talk about AK47 "assault rifles." I sent him a friendly letter explaining that the rifle in question is not really an assault rifle because it does not meet the definition, and that the significance of this point was that prohibitionist in government and the media used public confusion on this point in order to press various state and then the federal ban. His response was curt, snotty, and condascending. It was clear his mind was made up and that he was pushing an agenda. From time to time when the local media here in the Kansas City area report on firearms in a biased way, I write a friendly letter with the attitude of educating them. Probably 90% of the time, I receive a thoughtful and friendly reply. Not with this guy.
