FIE Rifle

I'm looking for info on a gun. A friend of mine brought a FIE rifle by today asking me if I knew anything about it. He's had it a few years and someone offered him $250 for it. It was a single shot 30-30 that broke down like single shot shotguns. It looked a lot older than I expected from a FIE product. It broke down by a release in front of the trigger guard like some old Savages. No external hammer. Receiver was engraved and on bottom of gun it said "HL-41 Combo". Barrel was marked "Firearms Import and Export - Miami, FL Made in Brazil by CBC". I know about FIE but have never heard of CBC. Who are they? Gun was not in real good shape, probably 70%. I told him I didn't know, but if it was mine, I would chase the guy down and sell it to him. Anyone know about this gun?

    Thanks Mark Christian. This confirms my thoughts. I personally didn't think anyone would pay over $50-$60 for it. I couldn't imagine something special about this gun. I thought the "Combo" part probably indicated that it had interchangeable barrels, but I just didn't know. I'll tell Richard just not to smile too much when he tells the guy, "Man, I'm not for sure, but I guess I will go ahead and take your offer". [:D][:D][:D]
