(Pictures??) Anschutz Karabiner

I need a part for this Karabiner and am not sure what to call it other than an extractor. Seems that extractor is also a bottom chamber support. When fired,(not a good idea), the bottom of chamber blows out leaving bullet lodged in barrel and no way to extract casing. I can find no reference to this Anschutz but would like to get it in firing condition. Any one know where I might be able to find this part?? Also would like to know some history. Also what is proof mark on front of bolt?(upside down in photo) (Pictures at bottom reply)

    Thanks rufe-snow. Don't know what I am doing wrong!! When I preview, I get the pictures, and when I access thread, I get pictures. Can anyone else get the pictures or is nobody getting pics? Thanks

    no pics for me either....just the 'X' icon.

    Rt click on Icon and select 'view picture' is a bust also.



    If we do not hang together,
    We will most certainly hang separately.

    Here are instructions for posting pictures.



    First thing you need is a site to host your picture. What I mean by that is that you will need to upload your pictures to a web site that will host(display) them for you. You should not use your hard drive to host pictures for safety sake. Use www.photobucket.com to host your pictures.

    After you have uploaded your pictures to the site that will host them for you(per their directions), the next thing you will want to do is go to the picture hosting site and view the picture. While you are viewing the picture, right click on it and you'll see another window that should pop up, now click on "properties" and copy the picture URL. If you know how to "copy & paste" this will be a piece of cake.

    Now that you have the picture URL and your ready to post your picture. Do the following, use the following code except take out the "*" asterisk. The "*" asterisk is used here only so you can see the code. In other words if I posted the code without the "*" asterisk you will see a picture instead of the code. Anyways use this code to post your picture..

    Any suggestions on viewing pics? Why are they not showing? I can view them on preview before I post them and when I go into the thread, I see them there also!! What else should I try? I tried what you suggested except used kodak web site.

    Did you ever see a rifle that, for some reason, caught your eye? Well, this page has some digital photos of a rifle that I just picked up that caught mine. For the past year or so, I had seen a small rifle marked "JGA 6mm" with a price tag of $150 hanging on it. I tried to find out about 6mm, but no one was aware of where it could be found (if at all),so I kept passing it by.
    Recently, I stopped by the pawn shop to see what was new, and I spotted of JGA rifle yet again. Even though I had been told that ammo might not be available, I asked the proprietor what he would take for it, considering that it had been there for a while. We haggled down from $150 to $80 out the door, and I went home with my new rifle.

    Right side view shows the bolt, receiver, chamber and extractor. Finish is worn and some brownish stains show in the picture.

    I looked on the internet for ammo, and sent Dangerous Dave at Old Western Scrounger an email; Dave answered that 6mm-Flobert was basically a rimfire .22 size. I showed my new rifle to my brother-in-law, and mentioned that I needed to find 6mm-Flobert ammo; My B-I-L remembered that he had bought some CB Caps at a gunshow a couple of years ago, and he looked around his basement and found the empty container. Sure enough, 6mm-Flobert is the same as CB Caps. I found info on 6mm-Flobert at a website: http://www.dnrws.com/p742.htm

    From the markings in your pictures, i.e. Zella-Mehlis/ Thur. Identifies your rifle as being of pre W W II manufacture. At this late date is's doubtful if any replacements parts would be available.

    It would be best if you could run your pictures through photo-editing software, as their to large. I wasn't able to see the proof-mark on the bolt.

    Thanks rufe-snow and nononsense !! Finally got pictures to show !! Thanks to both of you for the info. Nononsense, see the extractor in the photo you posted? That is the part that I am missing. Mine is marked 22 long rifle. Went to the website you posted and his JGA doesn't seem to be in as good a shape as mine but have parts missing!! Will keep looking and thanks! Since I now can post pictures, will post new pictures on Hi Standard Magazine. Please check that post also. Thanks

    The "Eagle N" proof-mark on the bolt precisely dates your rifles manufacture to after 1939, when the nazi's changed the German proof laws.

    To find 22 single shot rifles with this proof is quite unusual, as 1939 is the year the Germans started the Second World War. Because of this very few commerical sporting arms were made/found with this proof.
