Rem 700 vs Brwn A-Bolt

Which is the best value, a Rem BDL "Custom Deluxe" .270 or a Browning A-Bolt Composit Stalker 30-06 without Boss. Both in NEW condition, either one for $500. Primary use will be for deer (Texas) and maybe a 1/500 chance for elk or deer in Canada. I do not reload so ammo would be factory retail. I'm leaning towards one but want to here other opinions before I purchase. Must decide by 9am tomorrow today.

    Ford or Chevy? Strickly a matter of tastes and preference. I've owned a few 700s, BDL 7mm mag, ADL 30-06 and sportsman 78 30-06 and consider the Sportman 78 the best deal..a 700 without the frills. Never had an A bolt but I favor the 06.

    Shot both, own an a-bolt(300wsm). There's nothing wrong with either one, they'll both reach out there and drop a deer. I liked the way the a-bolt felt better than the remington. I put bullet holes through bullet holes @200 yards. I haven't had a chance to shoot beyond that but I'm confident that its accuracy carries over far beyond that.

    Having had both at one time or another(Currently have the A-bolt in .270)I have to echo the others as far as they're both being excellent choices.I do prefer the Browning however because of the 60 degree bolt throw.

A-BOLT IS MY CHOICE , BE SURE TO GET A BOSS C.R. ATTACHMENT FOR HUNTING . C.R. IS TUNABLE FOR ACCURACY ,HAS NO PORTING [LESS NOISE] THE STANDARD BOSS IS GREAT FOR THE RANGE BUT TO NOISEY FOR THE FIELD , IT WILL MAKE YOUR FAVORITE WORD "HUH" .THE A-BOLT GROUPS UNDER AN INCH WITH 3 FACTORY LOADS.
