Shotgun chokes

Does anyone know of an on-line table of shotgun choke dimensions for 12 ga. thru 410 ga so I can measure the chokes to determine if it is full,modified & etc. ?? Thanks.

    I recently bought a 410 o/u shotgun. It came with 5 choke tubes.
    The owners manual stated that the chokes were identified by lines notched into the end of the tube. I have lines from 1 to 5. Nothing else is identified. The way to determine the choke type is " more lines,- more choke. less lines,-less choke. My question is does "more choke" mean more restriction? That's what I thought. So I measured the tubes with a micrometer and the choke with the most lines,(5) measured .405 and the choke with the least lines (1) measured .383. Does that not contradict what the manufacturer is saying? Thanks for any and all help.

    I've got the latest Gander Mountain Gunsmith Services Price Guide right here. They will install the Briley choke system (including 3 choke tubes) for $130 plus tax. Thats probably as cheap as you will find anywhere. Otherwise, you can just have a gunsmith open your current modified barrel to improved cylinder dimensions. (Generally $50-75, depending on whether barrel is chrome lined or not. If you are handy with a drill and abrasives, you could open it up yourself, but you'll need a micrometer to keep checking the inside barrel diameter as you go along.

    I would sell your barrel,
    buy a barrel with Rem- choke tubes if you buy
    the steel shot barrel it shoots 3" steel as marked

    its cheaper to get another bbl. keeping the old bbl aside will help the gun sell as original later.

    I could be dead wrong, but I don't think Remington ever made production barrels with factory remchoke for the older 1100 20ga guns that were built on the 1100 12ga frame (Pre-1977). At least, I have never come across one. They did for the post 1977 1100 LT-20, but I think this gentleman has the earlier style gun.

    try hastings bbl co. they got everything.

    Regrettably, Hastings offers no replacement barrel that would fit this gentleman's Remington 1100 standard weight 20ga. Hastings does offer a variety of 1100 LT-20 replacement barrels, but none of these barrels will fit on his 20ga standard weight receiver.
