Beretta S55 O/U Shotgun
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for information on the Beretta S55 O/U Shotgun. Also need to know if you think it would make a good clay gun. Price seems reasonable for a Beretta O/U ($550.00 in 99% condition). Just don't know anything about the gun.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I guess I should add that it's a 12 guage with bl length of 28".

Hello "goldenpond"
1. Welcome to the forum. We hope that you will like it here and join us from time to time as a busy schedule permits.
2. As you can tell from my "handle" that I have a bunch of shotguns. I have had and still have a few Berettas. The S55B is a "plain-jane" extractor, field grade shotgun. Given any sort of proper care, she will serve you well and outlast your life time. I don't particularily care for them because I like "ejector" shotguns. I want the two empties to be looking for landing clearance at the airport in the next county while I am busy chambering the shells that are held between my fingers on the left hand.
3. With 28 inch barrels, she will be choked M/F which is a good field combination for every thing from snipe to waterfowl.
4. The price is a snort too high for what you could buy one here in north central Florida for (however it may be par for the course where you are). Prices will vary for the same shotgun from region to region. For the price being asked -- in north central Florida you could buy a S56E which has roll engraving and ejectors. You would have to do some looking and be patient but you would find one.
