Winchester Tools?
I'll make a long story short- Had a small plumbing job at home tonight, went to the tool box and got two small pipe wrenches, at the end of the job I wiped both wrenches off, on the old wrench it has some writing. On the frame- Winchester, Trade Mark, Made In U.S.A., PAT. 3-14-22. On the adjustable jaw it has Winchester, Trade Mark. Also on the frame there is a six in a recessed circle with (") after a six. It is six inches long, wood handle with a steel end cap, two cut flat areas, hinged and spring adjustment jaw holder, it is in excelent shape. Any and all info will be appreciated. Can I retire with the value of this!

the mystery deepens... my father has an axe whose head is stamped with winchester logo and trade mark. i own a small all metal ball peen hammer with a magnifying lens in the handle(bought it from sportsmans guide)is there a whole line of tools???

Winchester, in the early 1900's, offered a whole line of handtools. Saws, hammers, rakes, wheelbarrows etc. They also offered baseball gloves, footballs, baseballs, jock straps, sleds, etc. Also, they offered fishing lures, razors; you name it they offered it with the Winchester name on it.
As to your wrench, the value is dependent upon condition and the interest.0 -
You will also see Marlin & Ruger tools from time to time. Some of this stuff brings big bucks from collectors. I found a nice little box of Winchester fish hooks in a yard sale which I sold in turn for $50 circa 1980, 500X what I paid for it! 0 -
I have collected old farm tools up here in Canada for many years. When it comes to value an identified piece are always of more interest to collectors. But the big factors are age, rarity, condition, condition, and condition. Another thing that can put prices of tools out of whack is when it is a family member bidding and sentimentality can be a strong reason to buy. Finally it's how badly a collector wants it and if you find the right wrench, the skies the limit. I find that the average price for somewhat common named tools is between $30.00 and $60.00. This wrench won't quite make enough to retire, but keep looking there might be a gem in the bottom of the tool box. Happy hunting.........squeakyc 0
