I have been using tasco world scopes, and have been considering "moving up" to a better scope. How is the Nikon Buckmaster? I have heard that Nikon makes a good scope, but it seems the Buckmaster is a lot less than their other scopes, and I am wondering if the Buckmaster wouldnt be much better than the Tasco world class.
How do they compare next to each other?
    Thanks

www.swfa.com They have the scope for $249, and you get a free camo jacket, if you buy before Dec 31, I personally use the Leupold M8 6 x 42, has the milti coat 4 coating, but I have several friends who use the nikon's with nary a squabble out of any of them, They love them. I say if your happy, who cares, they have a great warranty program and I believe they use japanese glass, just like the old weavers and the Leupolds do....If I am wrong someone correct me.

Orphanedcowboy....Nikon is a Japanese company, Nippon Kogaku. They make Nikon cameras, telescopes, binoculars, microscopes, and other precision optical devices. As a retired professional photographer, I can tell you that Nikon optics are absolute top quality.

I have not used the Buckmaster, but have a couple of Monarch which rival the Leupold Vari X III's. Save the extra nickles and up grade to a better scope and you will not be sorry. Take a look at: www.bearbasin.com
