I know which book Bpost recommended. Here it is at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Cast-Bullet-Handbook-3rd-Edition/dp/B002G139UO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1260741688&sr=8-2
It does have a lot of load info in it but the first half is more 'how to' and reference.
Am unsure if the one at natchezz is it or not. They don't have a pic.0 -
Jonk has the link! You will learn a TON from that book. 0 -
Someone need a copy? I have one. I was using it for 45-120 reloads. 0 -
im going to be placing an order at midway for some stuff and ill get that book from them. natchez didnt have much of a discreption at all but midway was much better and said it was a hot to guide as well as a loadings book.
thanks again.0 -
Josh, there are three Lyman reloading manuals. They have a shotgun manual that we can ignore for this discussion. Then there's their current Reloading Handbook #49 which has how-to and data for both jacketed and cast bullets for handguns and rifles.
Finally, they have their 3rd Edition Cast Bullet Handbook, which is rifle and handgun with cast bullets only. This one is a bit dated, and rumor has it a 4th Edition is in work.
If you load a lot of cast bullets, get the CBH#3, but if you want it for both cast and jacketed, then the 49th Handbook is the one you want.0 -
i have the 49th reloading edition. am getting the 3rd edition of cast bullets. midway has a 4th edition listed as "coming soon" 0 -
You might want to wait a bit. I'd bet that the 4th Edition will be announced at SHOT, which is only a month away. They might begin shipping it shortly thereafter. 0
